Monday, May 29, 2006Third song of four now ready for download...
The third song from our recent acoustic session has now been mixed and is up on the site ready for download. It's called City Life and was written by Anthony.
Remember these four songs were recorded for us to get comfortable with the new toys in our studio in preperation of the forthcoming Embers album later this summer. The four songs were recorded 'live' as a band (with just the harmonies overdubbed) so the performances have a warts 'n' all feel...although thankfully there are not too many warts! We've spent the day laying the bass down on five of the fourteen tracks for the new album. A long but rewarding day ! Hope you enjoy City Life. Please let us know what you think. Steve. The Embers Sunday, May 28, 2006Blogswara - Indian bloggers collaboratively create an album
This is cool ! How a group of Indian bloggers from around the world (some of whom have no formal background in music) collaborated to produce an album online without ever meeting in person. Download the entire album for free.
I haven't listened to it yet, but I like the idea ? Steve. The Embers Thursday, May 25, 2006Indiestore - New download store opens for Unsigned Artists

Chasing Daylight, the second song of four from our recent acoustic sessions is now complete and again it's available free for you to download.
All we ask is give us feedback on what you like/don't like. Please comment on the blog or send us something at feedback@theembers.co.uk, it really is helpful. These four track are really the entree to a new Embers album, and your feedback on the songs and arrangements will help us ensure we produce the best Embers album we possibly can. In turn we can sell more, quit the day job, take up obscene drug/sex habits etc...you get the idea. We've have now started recording the new album. After a couple of great days in the studio we have the drum parts to thirteen Embers songs in the bag ! And it's sounding real good. Only the best eleven or twelve will make it onto the record...again your feedback on what's hot/not is really important. Keep looking for track number three.. Steve. The Embers Sunday, May 14, 2006Do you need Salvation?
I think so !
'Salvation' is the first completed track from the four songs we recorded recently in my studio. Please take a listen and let us know what you think at feedback@theembers.co.uk Thanks Steve. The Embers Monday, May 01, 2006The Bedford and beyondI know this is bit of a late response but I just had to say what a great night was had by the whole band on the 22nd at The Bedford. All of the acts were great - there is such a cool, vibrant music scene in Horsham. It's awesome. Although as The Embers we only had a short set, I can honestly say it was the biggest buzz we have had as a 5 piece. Thanks to everyone who attended and especially to Si and the other organisers for a great night. We have just recorded several tracks for our first Podcast. They have all been recorded live and acoustically. We will update you all as soon as we know when the 'cast will be available. AND this is just the precurser to The Embers debut album which we are starting to record this week. We are going to spend some time on the recording to get the best sound and performances. It will be worth the wait!!! Jamie. The Embers ArchivesApril 2006 May 2006 June 2006 August 2006 October 2006 November 2006 April 2007 May 2007 |
